Working on the Harajuku
I've been working on my costume a lot- and it's nearly done. I have made most of it stitching by hand- so weird for me. It's because I just can't stand the mess of my sewing room, or worse yet, the livingroom with my sewing machine in it. So I've been working on the details with needle and thread, watching TV with the old man. Now, I did some of it on the sewing machine, a lot of the hems of the ruffles and things, but there's tons I did by hand. I was actually thinking I would go over the seams with the machine once I have the ruffles stitched down, just to reinforce and make it strong.
Also, I bought a fake pony tail so I can have hair for a day. And damned if I wouldn't like to get a better quality one so I could have hair once in a while. I loved it!
I've enjoyed this year's project and though it's not that amazing, I think it's fun and easy to wear. I still have to make a little purse to carry my stuff and my little bunny around in. I promise myself I will take pictures this time. I might even take pictures of the work in progress though that seems a little ambitious.
