Nothing Ever Goes as Planned
Well I've been pegging away at the Harajuku costume. Ruffles and ribbons and lace, etc. I tried on the apron and thought, YUCK! Now, no apron looks good over a pair of sweatpants, but still...it left me cold. I made a pocket in the top of the apron to carry pens, work stuff, etc. Still plan on making a little drawstring bag. I will keep adjusting until I get it right. Plus, a 50 year old old woman is NOT going to look like a cute young girl.
Of course all this sewing has got me thinking about what the next project will be- and I keep going to Elizabeth. QE 1 would be a triumph!
My hands have been bothering me, what with the arthritis and all, but I plan on keeping up sewing and knitting and creating. Why not? What else is there.
